Having spent a significant amount of time living in Europe in 2019 (ah, remember those days when we could travel?), I was blown away by their concept of social awareness, it was everywhere!
In particular, around food waste and loss, and how far ahead of Australia they were when it comes to innovation, education and action on this topic.
With my husband Simone’s support (he’s equally passionate about food, sustainability, and minimising food wastage!) Forkful came to life!
Collectively, we have over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry.
Turning this new learning into life, we identified there exists a need to help our friends in the industry turn unsold meals into new customers and revenue.
Forkful has seen me tackle this project head-on, involved in everything from developing the platform from the ground up to educating the community.
